THE MISSION
EmpowerHER is a mentorship program born from the partnership between Women Empower and ARK- Advancing Resilience & Knowledge – dedicated to empowering girls navigating life’s greatest challenges.
Through bi-monthly gatherings, meaningful connection, and a community of accomplished women committed to showing up, we help girls see beyond their current circumstances and into the fullness of who they are becoming.
THE REALITY
Right now, there are girls between the ages of 14 and 18 navigating foster care, incarcerated parents, homelessness, and poverty. They are surviving. They are resilient. And they are ready for a room full of women who believe in what is possible for them.

OUR PARTNER ARK
ARK is a Washington DC-based nonprofit dedicated to bridging gaps in the community by involving everyday people in the life experiences of youth facing life’s greatest challenges. Through intentional programs and meaningful resources, ARK supports girls and their families, helping them break cycles and step into their fullest potential.
ARK is led by Cordelia Cranshaw, MSW, LGSW, President and CEO, a licensed social worker, advocate, and powerful voice for social justice and youth empowerment.

These girls are surviving, growing, and becoming, right now, with or without us. But with us? They get to sit in a room full of women who made it through hard things and built beautiful lives. They get to feel what it is like to be seen, valued, and celebrated.
